In the third series, the actresses Eve and Villanelle decided never to see each other again. “In season four, they’re trying to find out what they mean to each other and what they’re supposed to do with their lives now,” executive producer Sally Woodward Gentle told Entertainment Weekly. “This season will be much more personal and passionate than the previous ones,” she added.

“Obsession with Eve” is a BBC America series loosely based on the Luke Jennings series of novels. It’s not a long time since this is just a story about an MI5 agent trying to catch a serial killer. – In my opinion, their relationship is unique, enjoyable, complex and frustrating. This is an absolute obsession. Unknowingly, with great force, something pulls these two characters together – she said in one of the interviews Oh, promoting the first season. Now, in the trailer, we see Eve, her role, feeling that shooting someone can come with excitement. In turn, Villanelle tells the therapist:
I killed two people yesterday evening, though I tried very hard not to.
The trailer also suggests that – like the frog and the scorpion in the parable, they both may die, because there is no happy ending in this story.
Jodie Comer got an Emmy for her role as Villanelle, and Sandra Oh was awarded a Golden Globe for her role as Eve and in 2019 she was on the list of the 100 Most Influential People of 2019 by Time magazine. The production cast also includes, among others Fiona Shaw and Kim Bodnia.
