This means that a non-working day is not only Sunday, but also immediately after it and Easter Monday, falling on April 18.
Easter 2022 and the pandemic. What will the celebrations look like this year?
Due to the still prevailing COVID-19, we can suspect that, just like last year’s Easter, this year’s also may differ from the traditional ones. In the previous and this year, due to the difficulties in celebrating the community liturgy in the church due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments issued guidelines for the celebration of the Easter Triduum in places affected by the epidemic.

The Congregation recommends that in cathedral and parish churches, even without the physical participation of the faithful, the Bishop and parish priests may celebrate the liturgical mysteries of the Paschal Triduum.
We will only find out in the spring whether we will celebrate Easter 2022 in the spirit of restrictions as last year.
