Omenaa Mensah in one of her recent interviews raised the topic of Polish education, which is believed to be the causes of, among others, Polish racism. – I have the impression that everything that is happening in Poland now is due to the lack of education – she said in an interview with “Wysokie Obcasy”.

Omenaa Mensah evaluates Polish education

– After all, no one is born racist. We, the adults, create stereotypes and lock our children in them. I am glad that my daughter has already got into college and is far from this propaganda forced into younger heads. That is why it is hard for me today to imagine that I am letting my son go to public school. My children grow up with an understanding of equality, diversity. They know that there is no religion, color or orientation next to them, but a man with a name, said Mensah, emphasizing that although she loves Poland, she is unable to accept Polish racism and xenophobia, which she has had to face many times.

Mensah also referred to religion lessons, which, in her opinion, has a huge impact on Polish youth. “Studying religion at school is one big misunderstanding,” she said openly. – Children should learn ethics. That philosophies are different and their followers deserve respect. That you can’t laugh because someone has sidelocks or a hijab on their heads – she continued.

– You cannot grant rights and privileges to only one group and to a philosophy which, in addition, is not in the majority for a long time. Wouldn’t the world be a better place if everyone had a menu from which they can choose whatever they like? After all, only then is such faith sincere and true. Forcing children to force religion into schools will not work. This is just a waste of time – she explained, emphasizing the importance of tolerance and respect for others.
