The most anticipated video games of the rest of 2021

We compile a list of video games pending release that will be available in the last months of 2021.

Through events that have occurred in previous months like E3, Nintendo Direct, and Playstation Showcase, the list of new games continues to grow with some very exciting announcements.

As we approach the end of 2021, we compiled a list of the most anticipated games, which are pending release this year.

Battlefield 2042

Like its predecessors, Battlefield 2042 is a first person shooter game focused on multiplayer experience. It is set in a bleak high-tech future ravaged by climate change where many soldiers are climate refugees known as “No-Pats.”

It features futuristic weapons and gadgets like turrets and deployable drones, as well as vehicles that players can take over. The game will feature seven maps at launch.

Available October 22 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X

Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy

On Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy , the player assumes control of the leader of this group of superheroes: Peter Quill / Star-Lord, from a third-person perspective. The player can use Star-Lord’s elemental weapon to defeat enemies and fly through the air with his jet boots.

Other members of the starting team, such as Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and Drax the Destroyer, cannot be played directly as they are controlled by artificial intelligence, but players can send them commands during combat.

At various points in the game, the player can make key decisions, through dialogue trees, that will affect the relationships between the Guardians and the results of certain missions.

Mario Party Superstars

Mario Party Superstars It is not a new entry in this minigame franchise, but rather, a compilation that recreates the titles that came out in the era of Nintendo 64 and GameCube.

The game contains more than 100 minigames remade from past installments, and new graphics. All of these classic minigames are played with buttons, and local, wireless and online multiplayer is supported.

Call of Duty: Vanguard

Call of Duty: Vanguard is the 18th installment in this successful first-person shooter game series. The game sets a story that features the birth of special forces to face an emerging threat at the end of the war during various WWII scenarios around the world.

Multiplayer mode de Call of Duty: Vanguard will launch with 20 maps, including a new two-on-two arena mode called Champion Hill. It is also rumored that there would be an integration with the game battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone.

Forza Horizon 5

Forza Horizon 5 is a racing video game set in an open world environment based in Mexico. The game has the largest map in the entire series Forza Horizon, being 50% larger than Forza Horizon 4.

The map contains areas such as an active volcano, jungles, beaches, ancient Mayan temples, and cities like Guanajuato. Players can freely explore the open world, although they can also compete in multiplayer races and complete the campaign mode.

Available November 9 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, with a Premium Edition including early access on November 5

Pokémon Shiny Diamond and Pokémon Shimmering Pearl

This year sees the release of Pokémon Shiny Diamond and Shimmering Pearl, remakes of the original Nintendo DS titles. Diamond and Pearl Pokémon for their 15th anniversary. Set in the Sinnoh region, inspired by the Japanese island of Hokkaido, these games faithfully reproduce the original story with familiar characters, but also contain new surprises.

The storyline follows the traditional goal of the franchise: visit the region and the different zones to achieve the title of Champion of the Pokémon League. The game is also part of the 25th anniversary of Pokémon.

Halo Infinite

Originally scheduled to launch with Xbox Series X in 2020 before being delayed until 2021, Halo Infinite is a first person shooter video game from the franchise Halo, considered the most iconic of Microsoft’s consoles.

This game will mark the return of classic arena battles, as well as large team battles, while customization options will allow players to create their own characters.

Available December 8 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X
