Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Gargield gave their first interview together after the premiere of ‘Spider-Man: No way home’

The actors who played the arachnid hero in different films shared the anecdotes of the filming and the project.

The mystery ended and the dream of all fans was fulfilled. Yes Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man, 2002) Y Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man, 2012) they returned with their superhero costume to join Tom Holland on the tape Spider-Man: No Homecoming (2021) and finally we can talk calmly and without guilt about that reunion.

Actors, who denied until the end their participation in the gigantic project Sony Y Marvel which became one of the highest grossing movies in history, met in a video interview with the film critic Pete Hammond to share with the public the details of the shooting and delight everyone with that chemistry between them with which they captivated on the big screen.

“One of the things I like to do the most right now is go online and see the reactions of the fans when you appear in that particular scene. I never would have imagined that it would be so well received by everyone. I mean, I guess I had an idea that people would love this movie, but there’s no way I could have thought it was going to be as big as it has been (…) It feels like we’ve been in some kind of really weird dream. it feels really strange”, commented Holland, 25, at the beginning of the interview.

Maguire recalled that he found the invitation intriguing., especially since he was not clear about what his character would have to do. “And that was always a mystery, although I did appreciate what they did tell me, but it was all about get together with them and revisit what was part of my history (…) Go back to that and I don’t want to say ‘close the chapter’, but revisiting it brought his resolutions.”

I was waiting to find out if Tobey was going to accept”, joked Garfield, winner of the Golden Globe for Tick, Tick… Boom!. “If he agreed, then I had no choice.”

It was the ‘pure’ intention that he perceived for this film that motivated him to accept. “It feels like a great story, a creative idea and not just ‘let’s invite them to say hello and then come back’, but our presence is at the service of Tom and his journey as Peter Parker (…) It was a brotherhood and it was beautiful”.

Holland confessed that filming began without Tobey and Andrew, but that the closer the day of filming with them got closer, he just felt more and more nervous. “But when I met them, I realized that I had nothing to fear, but if I asked Zendaya and Jacob (Batalon) to be there that day, I called my support system (…) but it was my fun, from the first day it was a roller coaster that I did not want to get off.
