The salutary effect of eggs on the condition of hair has been known for generations – our grandmothers eagerly used them by applying egg masks on their hair. They were easy to make, readily available and cheap, and at the same time really effective. No wonder that after many years, despite a really large selection of professional cosmetics, we still like to use grandma’s methods.
An egg mask for hair
The egg hair mask is multi-purpose and offers many benefits. Both the white and the yellow of the eggs have a salutary effect on our hair. They are rich in lecithin and protein, which is, after all, one of the main components of the hair, which is why it perfectly strengthens its structure, while inhibiting hair loss and breakage. Yolk is a natural emulsifier and contains a large amount of sulfur, which in turn helps in the fight against dandruff. In addition, eggs are a source of many vitamins, incl. from group B, D, A and E and other nutrients, such as silicon, iodine, phosphorus, zinc, iron and selenium.
Regular use of an egg mask for hair has a beneficial effect not only on the condition of the hair, making it strong, shiny and deeply moisturized, but also significantly improves the condition of the skin.
How to make such a mask?
Simply beat two eggs with a fork (or more depending on the length of your hair), then apply them to dry hair and leave them for about 30 minutes. After this time has elapsed, rinse your hair with cold water and then wash it with shampoo.
