“A question of price“is a novel by Zygmunt Miłoszewski, the winner of the” Polityka “Passport. The beginning is brilliant. We meet a couple of old people who are to celebrate the anniversary of their first time. It is juicy, spicy … then the couple wake up 50 years earlier, in Poland in the 1960s, in which there is no Palace of Culture and Science, but there is a policy of strengthening ties with France and the Slavic Union. An interesting idea, an interesting story, an ending completely different than I expected. Better.

“Wind“is a suspenseful mountain crime story in which Igor Brejdygant crosses genre boundaries, the writer’s latest novel. His”Scratch” i “System“have already been screened by series – they starred, among others, Julia Kijowska and Dawid Ogrodnik.

Małgorzata Oliwia Sobczak is one of my favorite authors of crime novels. Her “The colors of evil“they took me in their claws from the first page of the first volume, holding me in suspense until the last sentence of the trilogy. This year the author is a novel”Rustle“she started a new series – a great pair of main characters, a strong dose of eroticism, darkness and crime. And a beautiful rhythm of sentences.

Both books by Magdalena Majcher are based on facts. “A strong bond“shows the story of the missing Anna Garska and her mother, Michalina Kaczyńska, who is constantly in search of, from the inside, drawing excellent and moving psychological portraits of Ania and her relatives.”Little crimes“the author resorted to court files to recreate the story of a woman who was hailed by the media and society as a child-killer.

Unbelievable things start to happen in the life of Laura, a young single mother. Some friends disappear irretrievably, others succumb to bizarre accidents or commit suicide. Does the suspicious series of events in her life have anything to do with the work a woman does, i.e. designing and forecasting consumer behavior and needs? Is there “someone” who controls us? Who is this? And most importantly – what does he do it for? – this is how the plot looks like “Viewfinder“, Magdalena Witkiewicz, one of the most popular Polish writers.

“Carpet with inlay” i “Panda effect“Marty Kisiel is a lighter approach to crime fiction – with a lot of humor. The main character of both novels is Tereska Trawna. There are also husband, children, dog, mother-in-law … and lots of entertainment with the crime, sometimes in the background, sometimes in the foreground, always satisfactory.

“Wine wines“Małgorzata Starosty is also a criminal comedy and the main character here is a woman. Agata Śródka, a” reclaimed maiden “- restaurateur and celebrity, decides to start a vineyard in the palace in Gościniec. She does not expect that this adventure will lead her into the middle of a murderous intrigue, whose victims will be her ex-husband, a young rival and an old lady.

The Gazeta.pl campaign for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity was born in 2019 and it was not a happy time. The 27th Final of the Great Orchestra was the first one that was not accompanied by a smile and pride in the work of helping children or the elderly until late at night. A feast of good, one of the greatest social events in Poland after 1989, was interrupted by tragic events in Gdańsk. The mayor of the city, Paweł Adamowicz, was mortally wounded on the stage of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.

Then we decided: let’s finish the final next Sunday, let’s overcome evil together. This idea is still valid today, especially after the tragic months brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. Let’s play # OneDaysLonger again, so that good will prevail. We want the holiday that we celebrate each year with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity to not end.
