The song is part of the album ‘Dharma’, which the Colombian singer will present on January 28.
The new album of Sebastian Yatra is named Dharma, scheduled to be released this January 28, and of which he has just anticipated the theme Anonymous Melancholics, a musical combination about overcoming spite with help and above all with will.
“It is basically a conversation with my psychologist”, illustrates the Colombian artist in a statement. “I wanted to narrate the conversation that you have with your psychologist when one walks out of a relationship from start to finish, from when you are at your worst to when you are very well. I wrote it from a positive and nice point of view, removing the dramatic and sad tone of the breakup”.
Also released in this release is a video. The scenes that accompany the melody show in a fun and melancholic way at the same time different situations of heartbreak, sadness, joy, and then the party spirit and a new relationship. All this interspersed with the presence of a conversation with the psychologist who tries to advise the leading voice of the song.
“The theme starts with a jingle of a call from a very bad psychologist announcing on television that they call her to heal people’s hearts, “adds the interpreter. The actress who voices the therapist is Itziar Castro, who plays the character of Goya in Vis a Vis. “If they have seen Vis a Vis You’ll know who I’m talking about, because he’s an incredible character.”
Yatra has baptized his new album Dharma, an originally Hindu word that represents the opposite of karma, which defends the principle that “what you receive in your life for the things you do well is a gift.” Dharma symbolizes what it means for the artist to share his music with his fans. “Although some songs are sad and others start from happiness, they are all part of existing and of love.”
