When is Grandma’s Day? It’s this Friday
is celebrated annually on January 21. Interestingly, in Poland we started to celebrate this date in the 1960s. It took place in 1966, in Express Wieczorny, where January 21 was first announced as Grandma’s Day. It happened in memory of the cake presented a year earlier to actress Mieczysław Ćwiklińska. That day, she celebrated her 85th birthday, and the cake was presented to her after the performance in which she was playing her grandmother.
