PiS appointed a new management of the National Film Archive. 60 employees left within a few months

– Piotr Gliński was very busy with the personnel issue, he replaced the management of Zachęta, he also chose a new director of the National Film Archive, under whose rule almost one third of the staff of “Polityka”, Jerzy Baczyński, during the awarding of Polityka’s Passports, passed away in a few months. On the other hand, Wirtualna Polska reports that the 60 people who until recently were FINA employees, but decided to leave or were made redundant, constitute 1/4 of all employees of the institution (220 employees).

60 of the 220 employees have passed away. FINA director’s office manager commented

Last year, the current director, Dariusz Wieromiejczyk, was dismissed – as the ministry claimed, it was related to his breach of duties and the payment of awards and bonuses by him. . The case is in the labor court. On the other hand, deputy director Anna Sienkiewicz-Rogowska was dismissed with disciplinary measures.

Robert Kaczmarek became the director of FINA, who immediately after the nomination “suspended” the review of the women’s cinema “Herstorie”, which was to show, among others, a documentary about the production of vibrators and a film about sexual violence against women. Kaczmarek is a director, screenwriter and producer. films about the cursed soldiers, the Smolensk catastrophe and Lech Kaczyński. He was awarded the Platinum Resistance for his artistic “steadfastness and uncompromising attitude” at the festival Niepokorni, steadfast, cursed. In Filmoteka Narodowa he hired people associated with the right-wing media: “Gazeta Polska”, TV Republika and TVP.

Wirtualna Polska received an email from Radosław Sosnowski, head of the office of director Kaczmarek, in which he referred, inter alia, to to the case of departures and layoffs:

Two people have been disciplinarily dismissed since the change of management. In both cases, the reason for dismissal was a serious breach of official duties. The remaining employees, who decided to terminate the employment contract, left at their own request.

Asking an employee about political and religious views? “Nobody has reported such a problem to the management”

Sosnowski also referred to the information that had been received anonymously before the public opinion that in many business matters, the employees themselves were called for interviews and asked, inter alia, for political and religious views. Kaczmarek’s office manager claims that such questions were never asked during the management’s talks with the employees. “Such a problem was not reported to the management by any of the employees or the trade unions operating at FINA” -.

Instead, he accuses the former management of negligence. “The failure by the former management of FINA to carry out the necessary renovation and repair works in recent years has led to the development of mold and fungus on the walls of the building and on boxes with film material in the storage rooms” – writes Sosnowski.

Currently, all the collections have been moved to another room. Former deputy director Anna Sieniewicz-Rogowska, disciplinary dismissed by the new authorities, in an interview with the Polish Armed Forces, she calls all allegations against her untrue and absurd. “I am not the first and probably not the last person associated with cultural institutions to fight for a good name in the courtroom” – he assures.
