Disney mourns the untimely death of French actor Gaspard Ulliel

A Disney spokesperson called Ulliel a “friend” and a “colleague” in a statement.

Disney expressed this Wednesday his “sadness” for “the tragic death” of French actor Gaspard Ulliel in a skiing accident at the age of 37.

A Disney spokesperson called Ulliel a “friend” and a “colleague.” In a statement published by the media Variety, and sent his condolences to the family.

Ulliel had just played Midnight Man in Moon Knigt, a Marvel miniseries for Disney+ which opens in March; one of the main bets of the platform for this season, and in which he shares a cast with the Guatemalan Oscar Isaac.

For his part, the British filmmaker Peter Webber, who directed Ulliel in Hannibal: Origin of Evil (2007), published a tweet in which he expressed his “shock” after learning of Ullil’s death at such a young age in a skiing accident.

“I have fond memories of working with him so many years ago on ‘Hannibal: Dawn of Evil.’ Rest in peace, dear friend.” Webber wrote.

The death of the actor has triggered messages of condolences and condolences from his professional colleagues in his native country, with expressions of affection from actors such as Jean Dujardin, Juliette Binoche and Anthony Delon.
