As the Empowering Children Foundation informed a few days ago, the government refused to further subsidize the Helpline for Children and Youth. This decision outraged Polish society, and people from the media world have already spoken out. Kinga Rusin, who was involved in social and political matters, could not hide her indignation, and commented on the outrageous decision of the government in an extensive entry in social media.
Kinga Rusin criticizes PiS: “the time of settlements and justice will come”
– Let’s save the children’s helpline 116 111 destroyed by PiS! One million zlotys are needed to be able to operate 24/7 for the next year. I deposit 10,000 and I encourage you to donate. I believe that it will be possible to collect the entire amount today, because I believe in good people. Every zloty counts! – Rusin appealed, encouraging them to support the fundraising campaign for the Helpline.
She also did not fail to criticize the ruling party bluntly. – The PiS government has just taken away the remainder of state subsidies from the Empowering Children Foundation (in recent years it was only 6% of their needs!) And there is no more money for the famous telephone line that really saves children (by dissuading them from suicide attempts). It helps depressed, desperate, abused, lost, hungry and poor children, but also those from wealthy families who are ashamed of their problems and have no one to talk to about them.
Poland is at the forefront of European countries in terms of the number of child suicides! Every day as many as four children try to take their own lives (according to official statistics, unofficially many more!). On average, every four days such an attempt is successful … Rusin thundered.
– A few days ago, Czarnek, in a scandalous speech in the Sejm, ridiculed childhood depression, blaming … the opposition for it. Such political games and heheszki at the level of the muddy bottom are funded by the so-called education minister! Do you need a better example of the current government’s attitude towards children and their problems? she asked indignantly.
– Let’s save the children’s helpline, but remember that in every normal country it should be 100% financed from the state budget (line 116 111 was established in 2008 by the Ministry of Interior and Administration as part of the obligations resulting from Poland’s membership in the European Union. So it was not a private initiative )! – she emphasized.
– Tomorrow will be exactly a year, when PiS MPs rejected Senate amendments to grant an additional 80 million for child psychiatry, which is in a deplorable condition, about which both doctors and patients have been alarming for a long time. There is no money for saving children, but there is no money for subsidies for the Kurskis, Rydzyk, Mejzy or Obajtek somehow! And we will never, ever forget this Pisz dictatorship! The time will come for accountability and justice! One more moment … ‘she concluded, outraged.
