Julio Iglesias reappears and tells what his state of health is

The Spanish artist also spoke about COVID-19 through a digital gathering from Miami.

The singer, composer, musician, producer, former soccer player, Spanish and law graduate from the University of Murcia Julio Iglesias (78 years old) did not miss the great opportunity of Pepe Domingo Castaño (79 years old), one of his best friends, since the legendary announcer presented his book, Until I run out of words, in El Partidazo de COPE, and the most universal Spanish artist was part, from a distance, of a gathering directed by Juanma Castaño, which was also attended by the mayor of Madrid; the actress Cristina Castaño, who is the niece of Pepe Domingo Castaño, among others. “Good night in Spain, good afternoon here in Miami,” said the interpreter of great hits like I am a rogue, I am a gentleman, Hey The Road.

“Happy to talk to Pepe Domingo, happy to talk to all of you. Congratulations to Pepe for this magnificent book he has written and say what I always think of Pepe, that he is an incredibly generous, good person… He was born to narrate, to say nice things and, above all, he was born with the spirit of a great journalist,” he added.

The singer has been in charge of the prologue of the book, an honor that he accepted without thinking twice, due to the friendship he maintains with Pepe Domingo, although he preferred to show off his sense of humor. “He sent me a letter with two thousand euros and I said well I’ll write whatever,” he joked, causing laughter from all those present. “He also sent me some crabs,” he pointed out between laughs.

After recalling some of the funniest anecdotes of his friendship with the radio presenter, Julio Iglesias explained how he was. “I am much better than what I hear out there. Look, every time I read how I am I get scared because since I’ve been killed 15 or 20 times, I don’t know how I survive. I’m, as a good Galician would say, in hell. See if I’m fine, I’m going to start singing in three or four months, God willing, that is, I’m perfect, “he assured, and took advantage of that moment to talk about some photos in which he appeared walking with the help of two persons. “He had had a broken tibia and fibula and had been with his leg up for two months and he was skinny, he was shit, but it happened, I’m fine now, perfectly fine,” he said.

Iglesias, one of the ten artists who has sold the most records in the entire history of music, is still very connected to Spain, despite living in Miami with his family. During his radio intervention, Julio said that he had not visited Spain for two years and recounted how he was experiencing the pandemic. “I am afraid of covid that intelligent people have, it is not that I consider myself a very intelligent person, but since there has been so much talk that I am terrified of covid… People exaggerate a lot, it was a small comment that I made my friend Carlos Herrera”, he clarified. “But I actually take care of myself from covid because I am vulnerable, as anyone who is as old as I am is vulnerable,” said the singer. “The ‘ninis’ in this case should not be against the vaccine because I think it is essential, ask Pepe, who had a very bad covid,” he added, thus recalling the hard time the radio presenter experienced with the disease.
