Usually, these types of friendships are made on online dating sites or on social media. The victims of catfishing were women who believed a man met via a dating app some time ago. He extorted over tens of thousands of dollars from them.

At the beginning of their relationship, many women thought that they had just met the man of their dreams. Unfortunately, after some time it turned out that they were dealing with a serial cheater.
Interestingly, the man claimed to be a millionaire. He called himself “the prince of diamonds”. He got to know his victims through the Tinder dating app. The man introduced himself as Simon Leviev. He claimed to be the son of Lev Leviev – a billionaire, diamond tycoon. After a while, it turned out that he was a 31-year-old from Israel named Hayut.

His victims were many women with whom he made contact thanks to the popular dating app. One of the newest Netflix documentaries, produced by the authors of the documentaries “In someone else’s skin” and “Odwal się od cats”, will focus on them. Interestingly, the victims of the scammer planned revenge on the man.
