the poems Street map (Ruser Editions, 2020) by the Spanish writer Iker Garcia Simon is an invitation that, in the form of verses and photographs, takes us on a journey through sensations, experiences and memories that become streets, squares, municipalities and landscapes traveled by the author. Thanks to the power of the imagination and the expressive capacity of García, each one of his writings represents an adventure; between lights and shadows, talk about joys, sorrows, illusions, dreams, memories and paths that life gives us.

Romina Lebed captured in a book the story of love and faith that her family experienced

Iker García’s style is one of the elements that stand out the most when reading Street map, since it has the ability to move the reader through the images that the verses draw. This effect is enhanced by the special complement provided by the photographs included in the book, which they create the feeling that in each poem we are passengers on a route that never declines in terms of emotional intensity, allowing us to identify with the themes addressed in each writing.

Every week, the verses of Street map cross the borders of the book, since in the author’s social networks, mainly on Instagram (@ikersespir), there are fragments, postcards and interviews in which Iker García continues to take his talent to new horizons. (THE)
