What to see, what to do in Guayaquil this Sunday, January 16, 2022

Virtual concerts, face-to-face shows and movies for the whole family are the option for this weekend.

The Sánchez Aguilar Theater invites the classical, romantic and Ecuadorian concert of the violinist Jorge Saade and the pianist Juan Carlos Escudero, available on the institution’s YouTube channel.

It is a series of shows called theater from home. This year, the Sánchez Aguilar Foundation has launched a proposal for financial support from the public for artists.

Among the Ecuadorian composers that are part of the repertoire of Saade and Escudero are Enrique Espín Yépez, Luis Humberto Salgado and Corsino Durán Carrión. “We believe that music has to continue regardless of difficulties,” says the pianist.
