Ewa Szlachcic was a finalist of “The Voice of Poland”, today she presents “Magnolias”

Ewa Szlachcic is a composer, songwriter and actress from Białystok. She was a finalist of the first ever edition of “The Voice Of Poland”. He says about the new piece:

‘Magnolias is, contrary to appearances, not only a song about love. In these few minutes, I wanted to put a message that everyone could interpret according to their own experiences. Feeling, love seemed to me to be the best magnet and, at the same time, the perfect transmitter, because everything begins with love.

– “Magnolias” is a story about throwing yourself into deep water in the name of what is important to us, even if it is to last only a moment. About not setting barriers for yourself, just because the goal can be fleeting. Surely you know the moment when the moment of happiness comes, and even though you are aware of how fragile it is, you want to plunge into it completely, even “walk the rope” before everything is blown by the wind. It’s always better to experience something and keep it for the rest of your life. these emotions than to remain passive. Everything that stands in our way builds our future … and ourselves. Is this my confession that I do not regret anything? Perhaps … – he adds.

“Magnolie” is a track that appears three years after the “DNA” album was released. – The nucleus of the song was one strange synthesizer sound that I came across one evening in the studio. It bothered me so much that I built the entire melody and production outline on it. And although it ultimately serves only as a background layer in the arrangement, hearing them constantly gives me the thrill that accompanies the creation of the piece. It was similar with the text, it just “came” to me. I sat down with the blank sheet, wondering what the song should be about, and suddenly the word “magnolias” flashed through my head. Further down the thread to the ball – I remembered what magnolias look like, read about their origins, short flowering period, beauty and volatility. I saw photos of these flowers in the Botanical Garden in Powsin and I already knew that the text would be about fleeting feelings and moments – recalls Ewa Szlachcic.

Her first solo album entitled “DNA” was released in 2018. Szlachcic collaborated with many talented artists such as Romuald Lipko, Izabela Trojanowska and Norbi. She also had the opportunity to perform on one stage with Angie Stone during the “Positive Vibrations” festival. Currently, he is part of the Budka Suflera team. In her music and lyrics, she focuses primarily on femininity and topics that affect each of us in everyday life.
