Tijuana Mexican Food opened in the Barlovento building, next to Las Peñas. It offers the best of the cuisine of that country.
It all started in 2005 in the Miraflores citadel, an emblematic sector of Guayaquil that, together with Víctor Emilio Estrada de Urdesa street -already established-, quickly became commercial references to open countless businesses. It was Julio César Chávez Calle who had the vision to share with his friends one of the most memorable gastronomic experiences of his travels: Mexican food. A small idea that soon became the pillar of a whole descendant, when his son Luis Fernando Chávez Pardo inherited his father’s dream and a family business called Tijuana Mexican Food was born. Thus, burritos and alambres became very popular among visitors.
This business got a good clientele who were looking for the flavors of the wide Mexican cuisine. “This large influx of lovers of our food allowed the small place to expand into a larger room with two floors, relocating us to the main street of Urdesa. Between Víctor Emilio Estrada and Ilanes streets we continue to build our dream. It did not take long for our premises to be adjusted for the large number of people who visited us, we knew it was time to grow and share with everyone the passion of Julio C. Chávez Calle ”, remembers Luis Fernando.

Now, with a renewed proposal, they opened Tijuana Mexican Food in Puerto Santa, surprising diners and walkers who visit that part of the city. This time, Luis Fernando and his wife, Paulina Núñez del Arco had the dream, betting everything on Mexican culture and gastronomy, along with the vision of its general manager, Juan Carlos Morán, to expand the brand. Thus they had the pleasure of inaugurating the new headquarters on the ground floor of the Barlovento building.
It has one of the most beautiful views of that corridor where people meet every day. It is comfortable and its cheerful decoration and lighting attract a lot of attention, since these places were quite a long time without anyone betting on a venture. They also serve indoors outside.
The new headquarters is part of the other five locations (3 are restaurants and 3 are Tijuana express in shopping centers) offering the most outstanding dishes with the touch that characterizes it, providing the same service that has maintained it for the 17 years that the company has brand in Guayaquil.

In Tijuana de Puerto Santa Ana you can find a variety of burritos, wires, the exquisite chicken in corn sauce or the Tijuana accompanied by desserts (the churros, the nuns, flan of the house) or the signature cocktails like Tijuana smash, refreshing margaritas, shots tequila, among other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. In total there are 83 dishes that they have on the menu plus their variations, reach approximately 135 specialties (not counting drinks).
Tijuana restaurant is also characterized by being pet friendly Y gay friendly. The hours of operation are every day and, due to restrictions, for now they are open from 12:00 to 23:00. (I)
