They called the number listed on Don’t Look Up. This is a completely different helpline than in the Netflix movie

In one of the scenes, the scientist played by Leonardo DiCaprio appears in a government spot, informing about the hotline. Anyone can call the number to talk to specialists about their well-being when a deadly comet is heading towards the Earth.

They called the number from the screen, it worked, but not like in the movie

The entire phone number is visible on the screen, so some viewers have decided to check where they’ll get to if they dial those numbers. It turns out they’ve reached the sex hotline. It is not known whether this is a coincidence or a deliberate action by Netflix, “People” magazine.

“Don’t Look Up” debuted on Netflix on December 24th. Jennifer Lawrence plays astronomy student Kate Dibiasky, who, along with Dr. Randallem Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) discovers that a comet is rushing through the Solar System. The problem is that it is on a collision course with Earth and will lead to destruction in a little more than six months. As if that were not enough, no one cares about the comet – led by the president of the United States (Meryl Streep). “Although it tells about an imaginary end of the world, it shows our reality too accurately for the film to be able to entertain me in its entirety” – Justyna Bryczkowska.

The comedy cast also includes, among others Cate Blanchett (morning show host), Jonah Hill (chief of staff and the president’s son), Ariana Grande (pop star) and Timothée Chalamet (the boy Kate meets).
