Jimmy Fallon revealed he tested positive for COVID-19 before the Christmas holiday

The ‘host’ shared the news on the first episode of the year of his talk show, ‘The Tonight Show’.

TV presenter and actor Jimmy Fallon spoke about her positive test for COVID-19 in the program that leads, The Tonight Show, precisely in the first episode of the year, the night of Monday, January 3. The host shared that he heard the news when he was going to record a guest segment on the latest show Saturday Night Live from 2021.

Fallon said: “We were free for two weeks. At first day of our vacation (Christmas) I tested positive for COVID. I was vaccinated and had received the booster, which gave me the luck of having only mild symptoms “(see the video from the minute 7:47).

Continuous thanking the doctors and nurses who “work so hard 24 hours a day so that everyone is immunized” and also thanked NBC for taking seriously biosafety protocols, which include recurring tests to all personnel.

Fallon also posted the news on his Instagram, where he appears in a photo of himself in an isolation room of the study. The driver added that the evening program would not be affected.

The last episode of The Tonight Show of 2021 was recorded on December 17. He returned this week with guests like Anthony Anderson and Adam Devine, as well as musical guest Carly Peace.

The news comes as COVID-19 hospitalizations in New York reached their highest levels since last January due to the spread of the omicron variant.
