Muslims are the largest religious minority in India. The followers of this religion constitute over 13 percent of the country’s population. Unfortunately, they are often victims of persecution, as the information that has circulated in the global media in recent days reminds us.

The application showed women “for sale”

Pictures of Muslim women were posted for sale via the Bulli Bai app. Among the victims was the journalist Ismat Ara, thanks to whom the case was publicized. The Bulli Bai application has already been deactivated, while its developers have been stopped.

The humiliation of Muslim women

It is also worth mentioning the case from a few months ago. At that time, an online auction was organized on one of the Indian websites. Over 80 Muslim women were exhibited there. Interestingly, so far no one has been fined for it. Another example is a poll that has been circulating around the web in the past year. The men were asked, among other things, which of the presented Muslim women “you would choose for your private harem”.

these types of attacks are orchestrated by far-right Hindu groups. Their goal is to silence and humiliate Muslim women.
