Music podcasts: instead of accidentally overheard radio hits
music is mainly devoted to music: stories about it and presenting various pieces of music. An example of such a podcast is the music podcast “Where all worlds meet”. Its author, Rafał Filipiak, focuses on diversity, and its intention is to promote new, sometimes little-known music from the most remote corners of the world. In turn, the music journalist Bartek Chaciński tells about what interested the author in music in his podcast in his podcast Polyphony on Audio. In this category, the podcast “ Życie na listu ” deserves attention. In the description, it is referred to as an “ unusual music podcast ”, because the hosts present to each other (and also to the audience) songs related in some way to a given topic. Thanks to the colossal differences in the musical tastes of the heroes of the program, an interesting and diverse program is created.
Interesting podcasts about music: the secrets of the musical world
Interesting about music, however, are also programs revealing the backstage of the musician’s profession and the functioning of the music industry. Such is the case, for example, of the ‘Musicality’ podcast, whose author, Tomasz Glinka, talks about how you can turn your passion for music into a way of life. Glinka addresses its broadcasts primarily to future and current musicians who would like to learn, for example, how to appear in the industry. Not only the author of the podcast shares his musical and life experiences with the audience, but also the guests invited by him. The podcast ‘Profession – musician’ carries a similar message. It presents the music market from all sides, tells about the different faces of the musician’s profession, as well as about the problems that a musician may encounter on his way.
An interesting example of a music aimed at a relatively narrow audience is the podcast Między Organami. It talks about organs and organists, music (mainly organ music) and the organization of concerts. The author is a concert organist, artistic director of the foundation and organizer of cultural life, so she talks about her passion for organ music, as well as about her own experiences as an organizer of musical life.
Interesting podcasts about music: ranking
If you put together interesting podcasts about music, the ranking may be different for everyone, because music is an extremely broad field of art. As among many music genres, everyone can find something for themselves, so among numerous podcasts about music, everyone can choose other interesting programs. Certainly, however, among the podcasts about music, the program “Na Sofie” by Mariusz Chrapko deserves attention. In his podcast, he presents music from various shelves, sharing his musical preferences with the audience. By offering the listeners the sounds that have always accompanied him, he mixes genres and puts together various items. He reaches out for masterful performances of classical works, but also pearls of world jazz. It presents rock classics, but also sounds from the farthest corners of the world. And although apparently everyone can find something for themselves, it is by definition not a podcast for everyone. It is worth seeing if the author has caught up with his radio masters.
The program “Od Punk Rocka do Bartoka” undoubtedly deserves a high position in the podcasts about music ranking. The author of the podcast is Robert Makłowicz, who with a certain amount of shyness invites the audience to his musical treasure. In order to check why it is worth listening to what Robert Makłowicz is listening to, you simply have to reach for the next episodes of the program and see if the music tastes of the host are as sophisticated as their culinary tastes.
