The legendary conflict of Kargul and Pawlak is a story that Poles will know and love for years. W³adys³aw Hañcza did not have to be afraid of the role. Kargula was created for him, but it was not without problems.

“Sami Swoi” and “There are no strong” have been beloved comedies for over half a century, watched in Polish homes with almost devious reverence. Some of the issues arguing Kargul and Pawlak entered everyday use (who never said “come to the fence”, he probably lives under the stone). The trilogy about the conflict of Kargulów and Pawlak brought to Władysław Hańcza and Wacław Kowalski nationwide fame.

Problems on the set of “own”

Kargul and Pawlak leave the eastern borderlands and settle in the Regained Territories. Although Sylwester Chęciński from the beginning saw Kargul Hańcza, he did not foresee one – that the actor will have considerable difficulties in speaking with the eastern singing. Hańcza and Kowalski, although they were supposed to play the heads of family from one region, neighbors, sounded completely different. Something that was not a problem for Kowalski, for Hańcza it turned out impossible to go.

When I heard Kargul, or Władysław Hańcza, says my hands. It was something completely different. Two heroes, two different languages. This, the mouth of Kowalski sounded funny, in Hańcza’s mouth it was pathetic – said Chęciński after years in an interview with the NaszeMiasto.pl portal.

The situation was saved in the so -called postsynchronach, i.e. the actors’ issues. Bolesław Płotnicki lent to Kargul voice in the first film. Władysław Hańcza did not want to agree, but he did not have the choice – he could not take part in the recordings because he was in the hospital. He no longer needed a replacement for the next parts of the series. Jadźka (Ilona Kuśmierska on the screen, in the voice – Elżbieta Kępińska), Jaśko Pawlak (Waldemar Dyba on the screen, Kazimierz Dejunowicz in the voice) and grandmother Pawlakowa (Natalia Szymańska on the screen) and grandmother (Natalia Szymańska on the screen).

Because that’s how it is said, we will do postsynchrons and a problem with our heads. It is very difficult to hit the right voice. So as I heard her, I almost fell from the armchair. Because in my thoughts I already saw how she was making the next dialogue and the next one, and I knew that she would make a masterpiece out of it. And she did. If it wasn’t for her, it would be bad, because with all due respect to Mrs. Szymańska [grającej babcię Pawlakową – przyp. red.]we suffered when we listened to her, she spoke very badly. She had no sense. At first I thought it would be somehow, because her face captivated me, but my face is not everything, the voice is extremely important – she cites the words of the director Dariusz Kożlenko in the book “Sami Swoi. Behind the scenes of the comedy of all time.”
