The Tatra National Park will soon become more friendly to both tourists and the environment. According to data provided by Robert Gajda, deputy president of the board of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, more than 4 million tourists every year. Therefore, the creation of sewage system on mountain trails is one of the key projects in this area.

Through the Ministry of the Climate and Environment and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, Tatra National Park PLN 10 million in funding. The goal is to support two projects.
- Update of the TPN protection plan and Natura 2000 area. Verification of park borders, adaptation of land records and modernization of spatial data management.
- Construction of a sanitary sewage system in the Filip Valley: from little Cichy to Wiktorówkiwhich will eliminate the sewage treatment plants and faeces tanks, limit the movement of barrels and will allow the construction of sanitary facilities. Completion of works is planned for the end of 2025.
– Morskie Oko is the most frequented tourist route in Poland and to this day for 30 years there is no few million zlotys to solve this problem. The increase in tourist traffic in the Tatra Mountains is an increasing challenge for employees of the Tatra National Park and the organization of this movement with greater care for sanitary conditions is our basic duty – said in an interview with Eska Paulina Hennig -Kloska, minister of climate and the environment.

You will be able to use the first “electricians” in May. – I must say that this is a historic moment. We succeeded today after a few hours of negotiations, but also after many weeks of difficult conversations, reach an agreement on changing the transport formula on the road to Morskie Oko – told TPN director Szymon Ziobrowski, quoted by the portal tatromaniak.pl.
