The 97th Oscars Gala is behind us. This year The American Academy of Knowledge and Film Art awarded, among others, Kieran Culkin. The actor received the statuette for the best supporting role in Jessy Eisenberg’s film “Real pain”. Filled with Polish threads, the production a few months ago delighted viewers and critics.

After the cinema premiere in November last year “Real pain” went to the libraries of the most popular streaming services. What is “real pain” about?
“Real pain” is an American-Polish co-productionwhich tells the story of David (Jesse Eisenberg) and Benji (Kieran Culkin). Cousins go to Poland together to pay tribute to their deceased grandmother and learn something about their origin. The production was entirely shot in Poland and many of our countrymen worked with it. The film operator was Michał Dymek, and in supporting roles and episodes, among others, Jakub Gąsowski, Piotr Czarniecki Krzysztof Jaszczak, Marek Kasprzyk and Jakub Pruski appeared.
Where was the “real pain” shot?
The plot of the film takes place in several Polish cities, including in Warsaw and Lublin. The journey of the main characters begins at the airport in New York, but the real object did not play in production at all.
