Although he raises anxiety, it is he who allows scientists to get to know the history of old communities better. Every year, archaeologists from the “Secrets of the Ice” program set off on the glaciers to discover forgotten artifacts. What did they find?

“Secrets of the Ice” is a Norwegian research project that combines archeology with climate change research. Melting ice quickly destroys discovered artifacts, and subsequent seasons bring new discoveries. “What we see now may soon disappear forever,” Finstad said in an interview with Sciencealer. The band plans another summer trips to save as many stories as possible before it melts in the water forever.
