They knock on the door in all Poland. All because of the new obligation. To the end less and less time

The well -known meters of water, water and heat will soon disappear from the inhabitants. The revolution is caused not only by new technologies, but also with duties. What does this mean for owners of houses, communities and housing deposits?

Exchange of meters is already underway. New intelligent devices are to enable remote reading of energy consumption. Suppliers such as Enea, Energa, PGE, Tauron and Stoen are already implementing changes throughout Poland. However, this is not the end of changes, because traditional meters and water are also waiting for the revolution. All because of the applicable regulations.

Why do they replace current, water and heat meters? The regulations began to apply as early as 2021

Communities and housing cooperatives have been informing residents for some time about the exchange of old water meters and heat allocators. According to the Act, the time is only until January 1, 2027 and This applies to every household owner, in which measurements are made. In many places in Poland, the meters have already been replaced. As Wyborcza reminds.biz, the reason is the Energy Law, which is adopted in 2021, which is “the obligation to equip them with heat meters and water meters with a remote reading function” for house owners and managing multi -leaved buildings “. This is related to the EU directive.

The replacement also applies to electricity consumption meters. However, this process was divided into three stages. The first ended on December 31, 2023. The second, concerning 35 percent, will end in December 2025. The third and last, covering 65 %, will last until December 31, 2027. Until 2028, 80 percent current meters in Poland should allow remote reading, until July 4, 2031 this should apply to everyone. According to the Polish Economic Institute, cited by business.interia.pl, today about 6.8 million households (about 36 percent on a national scale) uses meters that allow remote reading. Buildings are released from the obligation in which the cost of replacing the heat and water meter would be unprofitable.

New meters of current, water and heat. What does this mean for residents?

What will it change? First of all, the exchange will eliminate the need to visit collectors in homes and read the meters at home. They are also to be issued on the basis of actual consumptionwhich in turn will avoid surprises resulting from subsidies. Remote divisors are also to help cooperatives in the fight against fraud, including on heating and water consumption. The costs of replacing energy meters are covered by suppliers, they pay communities and cooperatives for the exchange of those regarding water and heat.
