Not only in Polish show business, the matter of money is rarely raised. Although the stars in our country willingly talk about too low pensions, they often raise the issue of earnings in “normal” years. In an interview with YouTuber, an Żurnalist told what rate she could count on when the recordings for the first editions of “Idol” started.
Elżbieta Zapendowska says how much she was paid for work at “Idol”
Doda, Edyta Górniak, Maryla Rodowicz, Robert Janowski and many, many others, artists of musical theaters and scenes throughout Poland – many of them owe their careers to Elżbieta Zapendowska. “Idol” gave her popularity outside the industry and the possibility of showing the backstage of the music industry. She never hid that the money barely prevailed “not the best reputation of Polsat”, as she said in an interview with Gazeta Wyborcza.
I worked at the Buffo Theater, then in Roma, they pulled me away from there. I had doubts whether to agree. Polsat did not have the best reputation with me, but the financial aspect prevailed. Although we earned terrible money in the first edition, that is, small, in terms of jokes. But as I needed money anyway … – said Zapendowska.
In a conversation with a journalist, she already gave a specific amount. It was supposed to be PLN 1,000 gross for the recorded episode. So many hours of auditions were valued so many hours of candidates in various cities in Poland. Such a sum looks like a funny joke at today’s rates – in 2018 it was said that Edyta Górniak would receive up to PLN 400,000 when working on “The Voice of Poland”.
But for Polish conditions in 2002, PLN 1,000 gross for recording one episode is no longer such a bad salary. The lowest remuneration for work at the time was PLN 760average – PLN 2133. In two days of work, Zapendowska got as much as a significant proportion of Poles after a month of full -time work. What did this issue look “in neighborhood” – on Polish television in journalism? She talked about it, among others Krystyna Czubówna, running the “panorama” on TVP2 for years.
In 2000, the salary of the so -called The full -time job was several hundred zlotys – for running one issue of “Panorama” and a seven -hour presenter. Just over three hundred zlotys were paid – said Czubówna in an interview with Tygodnik Ciechanowski in 2021.
