The winged flower is a beautiful and popular potted room that adorns many window sills. It has lush green, decorative leaves and extremely unusual, but charming white flowers. He is capricious in care, but a bit of self -denial, care and attention will make him repaire. In addition to providing him with proper cultivation, position and amount of water, do not forget about regularly exaggerating.
When to overdo the wingworm? This is the best time
In addition to ensuring adequate conditions, the winged flower should be systematically exaggerated to the size of a larger pot. In the case of young specimens, it is advisable to do it every year, and older ones every two or three years. Of course, the most important is, above all, observing and checking whether the plant is no longer tight. Too small “housing” can effectively inhibit its growth and make it be amused in the eyes. The best date for repaying is early spring, when it wakes up after winter rest, i.e. February, March, or April. How to carry out the whole process?
ADVICE! The winged flower should also be replanted shortly after purchase. Anyway, this rule applies to all plants. Store soils in which they are kept are usually not very fertile, but lightweight, so that it is easy to transport them, which in the long run will not serve the plant.
What flowerpot pot? You will need it
Before you get over the wingworm, you need the right equipment. I am talking about a pot, preferably up to 3 cm wider than the previous one. It should also have holes on the bottom so that there is not excess water in it. The second thing is fertile, permeable and slightly humus substrate. If you feel in the strength, instead of buying a ready mixture, make it yourself, for example with the addition of a perlite. Do not forget about drainage, e.g. clay. In addition, it is worth having gloves, a small pruning shears and a large container in which you will carry out the whole process.
How to properly overdo the wingworm? Do it this way
Transferring the winged flower start by pouring into a new thin layer of drainage and a bit of new ground. Then remove the plant, gently patting it on the sides of the vessel, thanks to which the soil will let go. Be careful not to damage the root system. If the ground is too much, you can try to relax it, but don’t do it by force. Take a look at the roots and cut those underweight, be dead, and when you finish, put it to a new pot and cover with fresh soil. The next step should be abundant watering.
What does a winged flower need? Assure him
After exaggeration for a few days, treat it with attention, because even seemingly harmless errors can make it die. Of course, keep it in a light place, but without direct sunlight, away from cold and hot sources and drafts. Water it regularly (when the soil slightly dries) and sprinkle with water. After a month you can start fertilizing. Thanks to this, the wingworm will grow beautiful and lush. How often do you exaggerate potted plants? We invite you to participate in the poll and commenting.
