Dry air at home – how to deal with this problem? It’s simpler than you think

Dry air at home is nothing pleasant. It also does not always seem obvious that we have such at home. Meanwhile, too low humidity can even cause symptoms that resemble a throughout.

It is widely known that, in principle, it is best if there is too much or too little. So the same will be harmful in the rooms that will lead to overheating and too low. The same applies to dryness or humidity, which affects both people, animals and plants.

Dry air at home – what does this mean?

At home, it is not good for anyone, because neither for people, neither animals nor for rooms. So this is not a matter that should be underestimated. A good device that allows it to be monitored, is weather station. It shows the date, time, humidity inside and often outside. The optimal conditions that should prevail in the room are about 20 degrees Celsius with air humidity 40-60 percent.

A cough and dry mucous membrane may appear at too dry air. The skin is also itchy, dry and can bake. This is especially felt by people who suffer from atopic dermatitis or asthma. The sensitivity to mites or dust increases. These types of conditions appear especially in the period when the apartments are heated and often poorly chorn.

Similarly, we will happen to our pets, which unfortunately have no way to say about the ailments that appear with them. Also they can also have dry mucosa or itchy skin. Resistance can also decrease, as a result of which will be easier to fall into various infections.

Dry air adversely works not only on humans or animals, but also on plants. It can cause excessive drying of plants, so they will be zealous and brown, and the leaves will start falling. They can also become more susceptible to pests.

Dry air in the room or all over the house?

If this issues arise at all, it usually applies to the whole apartment. Dry in the room as the only place can happen if, for example, we have a house and there are rooms that are not heated and tightly closed during the winter. So there will be a different microclimate than in the heated ones. However, if we use the whole house the same, then dry air in the room is not an exception, but it occurs the same in other rooms.

Dry air – how to moisturize?

It is worth getting interested in whether we are dry air. How to moisturize the apartment then? This is not complicated and does not have to be expensive.

The easiest method is simply Hanging a water container on the radiator. It will evaporate and improve humidity. Besides, you can also hang wet towels do you set up nearby laundry dryer. And you can’t forget about another very important thing – you have to regularly ventilate the apartment. This is important not only because of the dry air, but also because thanks to this our immunity improves.

Another way to improve the conditions in our apartment or home are electric air humidifiers. Mostly they are not expensive, because you can buy them for several dozen zlotys. So if we care about the comfort of our and our household members, it is worth considering how to moisturize the air at home, especially since it is not expensive or complicated.
