The hospital reported the case to the prosecutor’s office and the Chamber of Nurses and Midwives. According to the hospital spokeswoman, Edyta Przybylska, many actions were also taken to clarify the circumstances of the case. In addition, additional staff training has been introduced in the facility. – The hospital also secured documents and all other evidence that may be relevant in the course of conducted proceedings explaining all the circumstances of the tragedy. The President of the Hospital Board met with the patient’s family and declared transparent cooperation to explain all the circumstances of this tragic event – she said in an interview with the portal of Gazeta Krakowska.
The nurse, whose error led to the death of Mrs. Krystyna, was disciplined. The prosecutor’s office, in turn, began an investigation into the possible exposure to the life of the hospital patient in danger. – Regular penalties were also applied to other people who were on duty on the day of the tragic event in the internal medicine department – said Edyta Przybylska.
