Hanna Mikuć decided as a little girl that she will become an actress. She grew up surrounded by art, admiring her parents Wanda Chwiałkowska and Bohdan Mikucia, from whom she inherited talent and passion for the stage. After a successfully passing high school graduate, she decided to continue her family tradition and began Studies at the Łódź Film School. She graduated successfully in 1978 and she had her debut in front of the camera. Then she played in such productions as, “to the Last Blood” and “The taste of chocolate”, and the excellent reviews, which she also owed to the roles in performances, resulted in cooperation with Wojciech Jerzy Has.
Who was the husband of Hanna Mikuć? The heart of the star “M jak miłość” was stolen by a valued film operator
In the early 1980s, Mikuć began working on the psychological set “Uninteresting History”in which she played the pupil of Professor of Medicine, Katarzyna. On the other side of the camera was Piotr Sobociński, son of a recognized operator Witold Sobociński, who immediately caught her eye, with reciprocity. They were connected not only by a common passion, but also similar values. They quickly became a couple and then. In 1983, their original Piotr appeared in the world, and in the following years the family grew by Michał and Maria.
After the birth of the first child, the actress felt that she was translating her career over his education. Ultimately, she decided to remove herself into the shadow to be able to fully focus on home duties. At that time, Sobociński fulfilled himself professionally and was successful both in the country and abroad. After the “Decalogue” He collaborated with the director at The movie “Three Colors. Red”, for which he was even nominated for. The wife was his biggest fan and constantly supported him in development, even when they had to move abroad in pursuit of him.
For Sobociński she moved to the USA. Their love was interrupted by the unexpected death of the operator
When the Hollywood industry began to demand Sobociński, The whole family moved to the USA. Mikuć did not hide that it was a huge sacrifice, but she tried to see only pros in this situation. – My husband worked all over the world and we rode with him. The children went to school abroad, which was tiring, because the program of American schools is different than Polish. The plus was that they learned great to speak English – she said in one of the interviews. They did not intend to stay overseas permanently, and the vision of returning to the apartment in Warsaw’s Mokotów only motivated them to continue working. Fate, however, had a completely different plan for them.
In 2001, Sobociński began intensively work for “24 hours” directed by Luis Mandoki in Vancouver in Canada. He was accompanied by great joy, but also stress and permanent fatigue. After a week he felt exhausted, so when he returned home, he immediately went to sleep to regenerate. At night On March 28, he suffered an extensive heart attack, as a result of which he died. He was only 43 years old at the time. – Stress related to work contributed to my husband’s death. Our life has become a race. We were still looking for something more. And it is terribly dangerous. The career did not bring us happiness or fulfillment – said the widow of the operator in an interview with “Rewa”.
It was then that she decided to return to the stage and to work in front of the camera, which turned out to be a real salvation for her. – In returning to a normal life, escaping the most helps to work. The more work, the better – she argued later. “Only that allowed me to survive the most difficult months,” she added and admitted that children were also a lot of support for her. Since then, she has not become associated with any other man and still argues that Sobociński was the love of her life.
