Each of us has experienced something this year. Many people did something for the first time, others finished something that took a long time. Regardless of what happened, at the end of the year we wish the next one would be even better. We asked some famous women what Polish women wish us in 2022. Their wishes really have a lot in common.

– I wish us women that we turn our passivity into involvement in matters concerning us and our country. I wish us to remember in 2022 that there are nothing today that a woman should not do. We can be: we can be childless, we can be self-sufficient and not look back at anyone. We can arrange our lives according to our own beliefs and needs. We can have impeccable manners and fight for our dignity and freedom.

– The year 2021 was abundant for me, I completed the construction of my dream house in Warmia, I became a mother again, and the occupational calendar was bursting at the seams. But I saw what was happening on a global scale and on our national scale. Once again, there was an attack on our freedom, once again we women had to go out into the streets to hear our voice. However, it gave me a sense of community. I know that although we are different, we have the same needs: freedom, self-determination, dignity. And if somebody wants to take them away from us, we will become a wall. Solidarity. I wish us, Polish women, not to lose it.

– This year 2021 was unique in every way. On the one hand, raging, which prompted me to look for new solutions to a number of situations. – You could say that the passing year was not the best time for Polish women. Once again, the rulers showed that the right to choose and freedom are not given to us once and for all. But on the other hand, I experienced the extraordinary solidarity and strength of women who no longer want to keep quiet, they don’t want to be submissive, they don’t want to be treated as objects. Because Polish women are: wise, aware and they can also take care of themselves. I would like myself and other women to have the strength to continue to defend our dignity and fight for our rights. And regardless of whether we meet with an umbrella or with another banner, remember that only our common voice is audible.

– I think that, like for many of us, the passing of 2021 was for me a year full of both great and difficult moments. For me as a woman, it was a year of self-realization, super positive professional and private moments … but there were also a lot of bitter moments that I would call good “lessons”. For the upcoming 2022, I wish Polish women to remember that they and their needs are also important. That they would take care not only of their partner, children or work, but also of themselves. I wish us a lot of love under the slogan “selflove”, that we would accept and love ourselves as we are, without unnecessary comparisons to others … Well, privately, every woman who dreams of becoming a mother, I wish that in 2022 this dream would be successful even to sprout.

It cannot be denied that freedom and respect are extremely important to us, women. We hope that the coming year will be better in this respect, and that women’s rights will no longer be violated and that each of us will be able to feel safe in our country.
