The smell of fried pancakes acts like a magnet. Before the last art hits the plate, the first are long absorbed by the household. Sometimes, however, the culinary enthusiasm wins with common sense and you stay with a portion that no one can eat immediately. How to store the surplus of pancakes so that they do not dry and still taste good? Do one thing with them, and even for a few days they will be safe to eat.

How to store fried pancakes? This is the best method

Pencists are best stored in the fridge in a tight, but only after completely cooling. Putting warm can make moisture gather in them, and this leads to a softening and an unpleasant, rubber consistency. Closing them in a closed dish protects not only from drying out, but also from penetrating the smells of other products from the fridge. Nobody would like to eat pies with the aroma of sausages or cheese. The optimal storage time is 2-3 days – do not drag this term until anyone will not hurt.

ADVICE! If you plan to fry pancakes later, you can store the dough in the fridge (in a closed container) a maximum of 2 days. Before frying, it is worth mixing them thoroughly, because it can naturally be resistant. This is normal and does not affect taste or quality.

Can fried pancakes be frozen? Yes, but do it good

If a few pancakes are left after frying, instead of eating for two days, it is better to freeze them. This is a great option for a quick breakfast or an emergency meal when there is no time to cook. It is important, however, to do it properly. Badly stored can stick, crumble or lose their taste. Before freezing, they should cool down completely – warm in the freezer will produce moisture, which means that they can later be tasteless. To avoid sticking, it is best to lay the pies layers, translating with baking paper, and then in a tight string bag or container. In this form they will keep good quality for about 2 months.

When it is time to use them, all you have to do is hold them at room temperature to regain softness. If you need an express effect, a dry frying pan, microwave or oven will work (150 degrees for about 5 minutes). Reheated pancakes taste almost freshly fried. Just add your favorite filling and you can eat with taste.
