The people responsible for the concert in Sopot not only invited many artists to the stage, but also decided to “summon” Woźniak to the stage, showing an image of the musician generated probably by artificial intelligence. In this way, a fragment of “Zegarmistrz światła” “sung” by the recently deceased artist resounded.

– What a musician and performer he was – we don’t have to remind fans of his work. What a good man he was – everyone who had the opportunity to know him knows” – in July this year, the authors of the post, informing on the website of the Polish Music Foundation about the death of Tadeusz Woźniak. Now in Sopot, he was remembered by, among others, Halina Frąckowiak, Ewa Bem, Małgorzata Ostrowska, Andrzej Rybiński and Alicja Majewska during the concert “Legends of Polish music”. In such cases, it used to happen that the deceased vocalist would “join” the vocalists on stage – usually, however, archive performances of the songs were recalled. The idea of reviving Woźniak’s image by AI was too much for some viewers.
“They could have just left the AI alone, how weird it is and it has nothing to do with the tribute”. “Whoever came up with the idea of artificial intelligence should be fired” – these are some of the comments that appeared online after the concert. One person posted a fragment on the X website and commented, not mincing words: “Okay, f***, I turned on the TV for the first time in a few months; why are they showing Tadeusz Woźniak’s AI? A moment before the concert began, Paulina Krupińska revealed that Tadeusz Woźniak was supposed to personally appear at the festival in Sopot. The musician’s widow arrived.
This year’s festival organized by TVN does not have the best press or online reviews. “Unfortunately, the four days of the event at the Forest Opera proved that there are at least twice as many. If we were to choose the best from all of it, to limit the emcee to a minimum, we would have top-shelf fun. And so? What came out was a long, merging into one, which only occasionally had moments worth appreciating and remembering,” writes Bartosz Pańczyk for Plotek.pl in the event summary.
