Tadeusz Drozda is the cousin of Cezary Żak
Cezary Żak’s mother and Tadeusz Drozda’s mother were sisters. The women’s sons grew up together in Brzeg Dolny in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. Although the gentlemen on stage communicated almost without words, few people knew about their relationship.
In an interview with “Fakt”, Drozda admitted that Cezary Żak was his first student. “He started in my cabaret, and what the stage and cabaret teach, no theatre school can teach,” the satirist said. “I took him to the cabaret. We toured Poland. I had my own programme, and he played himself for me – a young actor who had finished school and Drozda would drag him onto the stage. It was a few years and a lot of performances,” he recalls.
