It outclassed Joker after five years. It’s the new highest-grossing film of all time

Four weeks after its worldwide release, “Deadpool & Wolverine” has become the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time at the Box Office. The Marvel spectacle managed to surpass 2019’s “Joker” and last year’s “Oppenheimer.”

As expected, “Deadpool & Wolverine” achieved worldwide success. After only four weeks of its premiere in the United States, the Marvel production jumped to the top of the box office rankings and became the highest-grossing film of all time in the R-rated category (viewers under 17 can watch it with an adult guardian).

“Deadpool & Wolverine” is the highest-grossing film

Shawn Levy’s film has earned $1.086 billion to date, completely outclassing the competition. The production beat the previous leader in this category, 2019’s “Joker” with a result of $1.078 billion, and last year’s “Oppenheimer” with the amount of $976 million. “Thanks for making the first Marvel Studios R-rated film the biggest hit in history. It’s fantastic to see that audiences loved this film as much as we all loved making it. All the conversations were worth it!” – said in a statement studio head Kevin Feige.

The top spot on the box office list isn’t the only success for “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Four weeks after its release, the film became the fourth-fastest-grossing MCU title to cross the billion-dollar mark, and the first superhero film since “Spider-Man: No Way Home” to earn more than half a billion dollars.

According to Forbes magazine, on its opening day, Deadpool & Wolverine earned about $55 million in the United States. In its first days since its premiere, Shawn Levy’s production, starring Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, has earned about $65 million in international revenue.
