The film has already earned over $800 million. Believers leave theaters after 30 minutes: I cried during the screening

Believers are outraged by the new Marvel movie. Opinions have appeared online that the production mocks Jesus and his martyrdom on the cross. The content has touched some people so much that they left the cinema in tears.

When you give fans what they have been waiting for for decades, you can be sure that you will succeed. Shawn Levy, who stood behind the camera of one of the most anticipated films of this year, knew this very well. The production, in accordance with the experts’ assumptions, breaks successive popularity records and became the cinema hit of the summer.

Believers didn’t like the movie “Deadpool & Wolverine”

“Deadpool & Wolverine”, because that’s the film we’re talking about, is not just another Marvel film. It’s a production that officially introduces the X-Men and the character of Deadpool to the MCU. A production that was supposed to say goodbye to the Fox studio, fix its mistakes and save the Marvel universe, which has been in crisis for some time.

It was to this “salvation” function of the film and at the same time Deadpool’s role in the House of Ideas that one of the scenes of the third installment of the hero’s solo film referred. The fragment could already be seen in the trailers for Levy’s work. In the scene, Wade Wilson talks to TVA employee Paradox and states that he is a “messiah”, or even “Marvel’s Jesus”. Not everyone liked the joke.

There have been posts online from believing viewers who felt offended by the references in the film. – Last night I went with a group of friends and my boyfriend to see the new Deadpool. I was very nervous. I knew it would be a vulgar film, but I really like the character – said YouTuber Mikayla Jade on her channel. The woman expected crude jokes and swear words, but something else offended her.

“I cried during the screening”

“I’ve never seen Marvel go so far in mocking Jesus,” Jade sadly informed viewers. “This movie broke my heart. I cried during it and was completely broken afterwards,” the YouTuber added.

The aforementioned scene wasn’t the only one that outraged Jade. “There was also a fragment in which Hugh Jackman is nailed to a cross, which mocks the sacrifice of Jesus,” the YouTuber states. However, this is not true. Wolverine, played by Jackman, in the aforementioned fragment was nailed not to a cross, but to the “X” symbol, referring to the X-Men team. The frame refers directly to the cover of the comic book “Uncanny X-Men” written by Chris Claremont in 1989.

Jade is not alone in her opinions. More opinions from offended Catholics have appeared on the X portal. “We went to watch Deadpool and left after half an hour,” says the owner of the chibimallo account on TikTok. “It’s disgusting. It’s a movie against God. It’s an insult to our creator, you shouldn’t watch it and you shouldn’t spend your money on it. This movie is worthless,” she added.

“This humor was disgusting (they even smuggled in blasphemies against God), the breaking of the fourth wall was pathetic. Pseudo-progressive garbage,” writes Sabrina Smolders on the X portal.
