The poor reviews, wooden acting and not very clever story did not scare us. Last weekend, Poles in droves chose to watch the hit Polish production from 2023 on the platform. “” is a more criminal version of “365 Days”. In the last four days, it was watched by almost three million viewers in Poland.
Netflix. Poles rushed to “Heaven in Hell”
The comparison with “365 Days” based on the prose by Blanka LipiĆska is not unfounded, because Simone Susinna, who played the main character in “Heaven in Hell”, also played in the film adaptation of erotica. The film had a loud cinema premiere in early 2023. Due to the first screenings just before Valentine’s Day, the production managed to gather a considerable almost half a million viewers in cinemas. This time, the erotic scenes were accompanied by a plot, but the film itself received rather average reviews and nominations for the Snakes (including the most important one, the “Great Snake” for, as it was justified, “the consistency in cashing in on the success of “365 Days” and an erotic story about the Polish justice system, which could probably only excite members of the infamous ‘Kasta’ group”).
Regardless of such opinions, “Heaven in Hell” began its march through streaming platforms six months after its premiere, where it enjoyed huge popularity each time. It was no different last weekend. The film with Simone Susinna and Magdalena Boczarska was once again on the Netflix platform. In just four days, it was watched by almost three million viewers – no other production has enjoyed such popularity in our country in recent days, as can be seen in the charts on the FlixPatrol.com website. “Heaven in Hell” outclassed the competition and in the upcoming summary of the platform’s week it will undoubtedly be in first place among the most watched films in our country.
Interestingly, the production is currently only available in Poland on Netflix. In other countries, it can be seen on other streaming platforms.
