After a year since the artist’s death, the cause of her death has finally been officially confirmed. According to Deadline, the singer “died of natural causes,” although she had previously struggled with several respiratory ailments. London police confirm that the death was not considered a crime.
O’Connor struggled with lung disease
Before her death, O’Connor struggled with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which often manifests only after a significant portion of the lungs has already been destroyed. In addition, the artist suffered from asthma.
