Concerts by Tommy Torres and Jowell and Randy in Puerto Rico are postponed due to the increase in COVID-19 cases

The Tommy Torres concert dates have been postponed from January 14, 15 and 16 to February 18, 19 and 20.

Various presentations that Puerto Rican artists had Tommy Torres and the reggaeton duo of Jowell and Randy in January at the Puerto Rico Coliseum they were postponed to February and April, respectively, due to the rebound in COVID-19 cases on the island.

The dates of Torres concerts were postponed from January 14, 15 and 16 to February 18, 19 and 20, while the presentations of Jowell and Randy which were to be on January 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10 were moved to April 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, their producers announced on Tuesday.

“Taking into account the increase in COVID cases in PR and without being able to predict how those numbers will be in two weeks, we have decided to move the date of my 3 concerts at the choli,” Torres said on Twitter.

“I understand that this can be inconvenient for many. I have been watching the numbers day after day and it seems to me that it is the right decision, at least at this moment. Let’s take care my people. I see them in February, the weekend after Valentine’s Day, as we did before. Those shows are going to be magical, “he added.

This Tuesday, the Puerto Rico Department of Health reported an average of 1,841 new cases of covid-19 with molecular testing, another 2,690 with antigen testing, and an additional death of an 82-year-old woman who was not vaccinated and had pre-existing conditions.

In addition, 266 people are hospitalized, an increase of 83 from those registered on Monday, according to the statistics portal of the Department of Health of the covid-19.

Torres’ presentations are entitled “El Playlist de Anoche”, a homologue to his most recent album and that the urban artist Bad Bunny produced.

Meanwhile, Jowell and Randy will give their concerts in celebration of their 20-year career.

The tickets purchased for the functions originally scheduled for these concerts will be valid for the new dates.

Both shows will be produced under the Noah Assad Presents and Move Concerts production. (I)
