Cugowski commented on the activity of Perfect without Markowski. He has had enough of such practices: Weak and unpleasant

The Perfect group is returning to concerts, but not in the line-up that fans had dreamed of. The band will perform without leader Grzegorz Markowski. Krzysztof Cugowski, former vocalist of Budka Suflera, has a strong opinion on the situation.

In 2019, Grzegorz Markowski recorded a joint album with his daughter Patrycja and announced that it was his last album in his career. He thanked his fans for their loyalty and support and said goodbye to the band Perfect, of which he had been the leader for years. He explained that his decision was due to a lack of vitality. The artist played his last concerts with the group in 2020. A year later, Perfect announced that it was finally disbanding.

Perfect will play without Grzegorz Markowski

However, the band did not hold out long in their decision. In 2022, Jacek Krzaklewski, Ryszard Sygitowicz and Mietek Jurecki returned to the stage as Perfect & Adrenalina. Later, Bartosz Wójcik, Piotr Skóra and Krzysztof Żurek joined the band. Now, Piotr Urbanek will complete the line-up, and the group will perform as Perfect Gold. On vocals, fans will hear Piotr Skóra, accompanied by Aga Bieńkowska known from the group ExMaanam.

Not everyone was happy with the decision of the members of Perfect, who decided to continue playing without Markowski. Recently, , who left Budka Suflera, found himself in a similar situation to the former leader of the group. Although the artist was its voice, leader and founder, and the main composer and co-founder of the formation Romuald Lipko died, the band tried to continue. Cugowski is not a fan of such solutions.

Krzysztof Cugowski commented on Perfect without Markowski: Weak and unpleasant

– Reactivating Budka Suflera was a terrible idea, but the band Czerwone Gitary tours the country, and from the original line-up, only one member of the band actually plays – says Cugowski in an interview with ShowNews. The artist notes that taking advantage of a popular name and fans’ sympathy is unpleasant and musicians should not practice it.

– There are two De Mono groups and two Kombi bands. This is not a Polish invention, because they are also invited to Boney M concerts. People want to earn some money, they use the rights to the name and this is weak and sad – emphasizes Cugowski. – The Perfect band without Grześ Markowski is a bit strange to me – he summed up.
