Javier Bardem, Amaral, the Black Week of Gijón and Paloma San Basilio are some of the names of the awarded the 2021 Gold Medals of Merit in Fine Arts. This Tuesday, December 28, the Council of Ministers, at the proposal of the Minister of Culture and Sports, Miquel Iceta, has approved the granting of this award to 31 personalities and institutions of culture.
Among them stand out personalities from all branches of Spanish culture such as the Amaral music group, the artist Jaume Plensa, dancer Maribel Gallardo, the poet Julia Uceda Valiente, the Black Week of Gijón, the film director Agustí Villaronga, the Max Aub Foundation, the cartoonist Paco Roca, the Art Foundation and Pensamiento Martín Chirino, businessman Daniel Martínez de Obregón or photographer Colita.
It is award distinguishes people and entities that have contributed in the field of artistic and cultural creation or have provided notable services in the promotion, development or dissemination of art and culture or in the conservation of artistic heritage.
