Dust disappears with a homemade spray with a beautiful scent. Furniture shines! I made it in a few minutes

No matter how much you vacuum your furniture, those pesky lint balls will come back. Luckily, there are a few things you can do to extend the time between wiping down your furniture. One is to use a household dust repellent spray. It did the trick in a few minutes, and I am thrilled.

Chantel Mia (mama_mila_ on TikTok) shared her dust-proofing spray recipe, saying it “keeps dust off furniture longer.” The best part is that all you need is water, vinegar, coconut oil and a few essential oils. I made it in a few minutes and couldn’t believe the effects.

Thanks to a recipe from the Internet, I made a homemade dust remover. It works great, and how does it smell?

Chantel says you’ll need the following items:

Spray bottle

1 glass of water

ΒΌ cup of vinegar

2 tablespoons coconut oil

4 drops of lemon oil (to protect and polish wooden furniture)

Shake the bottle well. Wipe dusty areas with a damp microfiber cloth and new dust spray. Do a spot test before use.

Commenters loved the video, with many saying they’d like to try it themselves.

Many of Mila’s fans have asked how long it takes for the dust to reappear. “It depends on your home, but coconut oil helps coat the furniture to prevent future dust build-up for up to two weeks” – Mila replied. If you want to skip the coconut oil, other people replace it with olive oil.

Other home remedies to prevent dust

Seal gaps and cracks: Dust can enter your home through small openings around windows, doors, and other areas. Seal these gaps with caulk or sealant to minimize dust particles from entering. Use air purifiers: Air purifiers with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters can help capture airborne dust particles and reduce their presence in your home.
