And although its plot is predictable, especially for this genre, it won the hearts of viewers in the blink of an eye, breaking viewership records.
“Love Island” is taking Netflix by storm. What is the plot of the film about?
The main character of the production is rock star John Allman. After his last music album turned out to be a failure, he decides to take a break from his career. For this purpose, he goes to Cyprus, where he intends to experience some solitude and think about his life and future in peace. However, he is not given this, because people appear on his path who are struggling with much more serious problems than he is. The situation begins to become even more complicated when Sia, his old friend, unexpectedly appears, and he also comes to host her. Will there be a spark between these two again?

The cast of “Love Island” was not, contrary to appearances, a galaxy of stars, apart from Harry Connick Jr., an American actor, jazz pianist, and lyricist, who played the main character. On screen, he created a duet with Agni Scott, known for productions such as “3. Part” or “Persuasion”, and at their side appeared, among others, Ali Fumiko Whitney, Tony Demetriou, Clarence Smith and Antina Roditou.
Despite this, it has aroused the interest of millions of viewers, which gave it a place at the top of the TOP10 list of the most popular titles in the Netflix library in many countries around the world, including Poland. There have already been many positive reviews on the IMDb portal, mainly concerning the “surprisingly excellent” script, which was written by the director. Other viewers praised the actors, writing that they created characters that everyone can identify with.

Not everyone shares this enthusiasm and delight, however. The service has no shortage of unfavorable opinions from critics who believe the film has little to do with , especially a romantic one. Others, on the other hand, complain about the overly predictable script and “lack of panache” dialogues between characters.
