Manuel Esteve Ulloaformer president of RTVE and member of the Board of Directors of the public entity, passed away this Sunday at 83 years oldthe corporation reported in a note, in which it sends its sincere condolences to family and friends.
Always linked to the public sector, Esteve (Ourense, 1941) began his career at RTVE in 1969 and was the person who held senior management positions for the longest time in the history of RTVE. Among them, he was head of the Technical Secretariat of the Manager of RTVE; inspector of Services of RTVE; head of the Contracting Unit of TVE; head of the Central Economic Unit; head of the Audit Service of RTVE; head of the Financial Operations Service with the Exterior of RTVE; Economic-Administrative Director of RNE, Economic-Financial Director of TVE, director of the Economic-Financial Area of RTVE, and Managing Director of TVE.
In 2003 he became part of the RTVE Management Committee.and in 2007 he was one of the members of the Board of Directors of the RTVE Corporation, elected by the Congress of Deputies at the proposal of the Popular Party. In 2011 he assumed the rotating presidency of RTVE, and remained in office until September; in 2012, he would once again be interim president, during the month of June.
