The Social Insurance Institution reminds that from 2023, it will automatically issue only electronic ID cards to pensioners. You must submit an appropriate application for a paper version. You can find the electronic ID card in the mObywatel application. After logging in, select the “Add document” option and select “pensioner ID card” from the list. If you have not used the application before, you will need to confirm your identity and add mDowod.
The pensioner ID card entitles you to many benefits and discounts. Its holders can, among others, deduct the cost of purchasing medicines above PLN 100 from tax, as well as take advantage of discounts in pharmacies. Spa stays and rehabilitations may also be cheaper.
