Nostradamus devoted much space in his predictions to climate change and its consequences. As early as 1555, he warned that temperatures would rise so much that fish would begin to cook in the seas. The astrologer also suggested that people do not learn from mistakes and that prices will rise so much that more and more people will starve.

Ominous asteroids

According to the records of Nostradamus, an asteroid could also hit the Earth in the future, possibly resulting in a mass death. Although his predictions do not indicate exactly when this will happen, the astronomer wrote that “a celestial stone will strike the planet and a great fire will fall from the sky.”

And although the chances of any collision are so far small – we do not yet have the technology that would allow us to get rid of such an asteroid. NASA, on the other hand, has developed the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) technology, which may allow a controlled collision with the Dimorphos asteroid next year to change its orbit.

Although Dimorphos poses no threat, scientists want to know if such a collision will change its trajectory, and thus the trajectory of other objects in the future.
