Bidding farewell to the deceased actor, the director mentioned his artistic achievements: “He provided us with great wealth, because there are people who go through life without leaving a trace behind… Jurek left so many material and immaterial traces and it is so rich and will be constantly updated” – she began, then added that Jerzy Stuhr made a very good impression on her from the very beginning of their acquaintance: “When I think of Jurek, I think of him mainly as that young actor I met in the first year of theatre school. From the beginning he had this duality about him that was extremely intriguing. On the one hand, he was very attached to the tradition of Krakow conservatism, and on the other hand, he was a daredevil and a comedian”.
The director also addressed the late actor’s wife: “There would be no Jurek without Basia. And at the same time, Basia is not just Jurek’s wife. She is an artist and a rock for all of you. Basia, thank you for Jurek!” – she added at the end.
