The first Pole without a visa employed in TV Republika. He was famous in the past

Marcin Bakalarski joined Telewizja Republika. In 2019, Telewizja Polska showed him as the first Pole to fly to the United States without a visa. He had also previously worked with Law and Justice politicians.

Marcin Bakalarski has joined the editorial team of the “Dzisiaj” news service broadcast on TV Republika – reports the Press service. In Tuesday’s edition of the program, the station presented a material in which the new reporter described a demonstration in Lublin. The gathered people opposed the alleged torture that the arrested priest Michał Olszewski was supposedly subjected to. The keeper was detained in connection with allegations concerning funds from the Justice Fund granted to his Profetoks foundation.

Marcin Bakalarski made his debut on TV Republika. He previously worked on TVP

Before Bakalarski joined TV Republika, he was associated with Telewizja Polska. In 2019, he appeared on “Wiadomości” as the first Pole to fly to the United States without a visa. The journalist was then greeted by basketball player Marcin Gortat. Shortly afterwards, the matter became of interest to users of the portal X (formerly Twitter), who pointed out that TVP had not provided information that Bakalarski was an employee of the station.

The then head of TAI, Jarosław Olechowski, commented on the confusion: “I deny the fake that the flight of the first Pole without a visa to the USA shown by ‘Wiadomości’ was a ‘set-up’. Editor Bakalarski went through the standard ESTA procedure like any other traveler. The material was of an advisory nature, showing what should be done to fly to the USA without a visa.”

Before Marcin Bakalarski joined the Television Information Agency, where he was responsible for social media activities, he worked as a spokesman for Law and Justice in Łowicz and as a social assistant to Przemysław Błaszczyk and Marek Matuszewski. In 2011, Bakalarski ran for the Sejm on the list of the Congress of the New Right.
